August 2008
Dear Pastor and Church Family,
We send you warm greetings from Fort Polk and Leesville, Louisiana. The month of August is very hot here and this month we had several days over 100 degrees. We have been thankful no hurricanes have come this way so far.
Many of you may remember Zeb, he was here about five years ago as a single soldier. He has since been to Kansas, and the Sinai peninsula. He is now back at Fort Polk and back at church but he is now marries. The good thing is he is still in church.
We have also had Aaron still coming out when the Army allows, and Levy has started coming out a little more regularly. Matt and Rebecca continue to be a help around the property and with the ministry.
We are going to be heading into the holiday season very soon. Our prayers are that we will be able to get those that won't normally come to church, out for a home cooked holiday meal. Prayerfully see them saved and then into church.
10th Mountain division and many other units are still deployed from Fort Polk. One unit came back this week. 10th Mountain will return in late January or February and we will be doing another cookie and Bible mailing before they come home.
Prayer requests: We want to see more soldiers come out and more get saved. Much needed support level to come up. I want to walk on higher ground with our Lord. By that I want to fully surrendered to his will. So he will use me even more!
Thank you so much for your prayers and monthly support!
Your servants in Christ,
Stan and Caren Skriloff
