February 2008

Pastor and Church,

Looking backward to those past months of how He blessed His work caused us to expect more grace and blessing this 2008.  We anticipate for this year to have more doors and opportunities of service way beyond 2007.  Here is a summary of His blessings giving us reasons to positively look forward.

*Freedom Baptist Mission in Caloocan City that started many years ago was organized as a church.  They have now their own pastor, self governing and self propagating.

*Four Mission Churches that is one year old is stable and  many new believers are growing in the Lord in the midst of many hardship, chastening and trials they experience.  A young man by the name Austin Torres who got saved and a product of Mission Churchin Dau, Pampanga testified how God chastened him when he quit attending and serving the Lord.  He is now back and happily serving the Lord.

*Bible students are staying on their courses and many more young people will enroll in the Bible school this coming school year.  Their training in the Bible school is balance.  What have they learned in the classroom is being practiced in daily ministration of the church.  They are involved in house to house visitation, soul winning and teaching in the Sunday School.

*Evangelistic meeting was conducted for three consecutive nights here at Freedom Baptist Church Angeles City.  Church members were all involved.  Some have volunteered to cook, some have donated money and some donated foods.  Testimony time is part of every night service.  In the testimony of mostly church members is how they realized the joy of winning souls for Christ, some have encountered animosity from the people they are trying to witness, etc.  The 27 invited visitors attended in the nightly evangelistic meeting have made profession of faith to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Last Sunday, February 4, Five souls have followed the Lord in water baptism as a result.  A massive follow up for those new believers is underway.  We counted it as channel of blessing and privilege to be an instrument of the Lord.

*In February 5, "Pampanga Pastors and Christian Workers Fellowship" was held here also at Freedom Baptist Church.  Every first Monday of the Month, we have had this fellowship.  On this occasion we are planning, praying, encouraging and helping one another.

*My wife and I are happy to see our children happily serving the Lord.  We are still hopeful that one of these days one of them will surrender for full time ministry.  Continue to pray for my wife's health.  She is thankful that her health problem is not cancer nor incurable.  One of these days by the grace of God, as soon as she gets over this menopausal syndrome, her health will be fine again.

Opportunities and upcoming events:

Couples Banquet in February

Seven staying during length of season or before Easter Sunday in March

Integrated Mission Churches Fellowship on last Sunday in March

Junior Young People summer camp in month of April

...and many more.

Faithful Partners

Pray with us.  May the Lord bless us and us us on an instrument to get His will be done and His great Commission be fulfilled.  To many of you who are faithful partners, we are thankful for you all.  We can look ahead for another year having the Lord on our side and partners like you.
